Shoes

Today Skye had a friend over for a few hours and Jessica stayed with them while Breeze, Aiden and I went shopping.
I had to get them both new shoes, get stuff for Breezes party which will be on Saturday, and get some groceries.
I went into payless shoes because they have their usual buy one pair and get the 2nd pair half price sale and I am pretty hard up for cash at the moment.
First we looked at shoes for Aiden and he chose a pair of black and red grosby runners off the shelf. I wasn't sure of his size, so guessed an 8 and he tried them on. They were a size too big, but buggered if HE was letting me try the 7's on.. so the 8's it was. He wouldn't take them off for anyone and spent the next 2 hours bumping into people and walls because he was watching his feet the entire time instead of looking where he was going.

Breeze found a nice pair of black boots which make click clack noises when she walks. They are also pretty supportive for her flat feet, so they will be a good pair to where with her orthotics she's getting next week... but the best thing is the click clack noise they make.. OF COURSE!!!

We got home and Skye's friend had already been picked up, so I thought it would be a great time to set the computer up for her to use her spelling CD ROM the spelling centre, the first 200 words.
She got the hang of it right away and loved it. After half an hour Breeze was bursting to give it a go, so Skye reluctantly let her LOL
While Breeze used the computer, Skye went into the kitchen with me and helped me prepare dinner. Then it was dinner time, play time, tv time and bed time.. in that order. Breeze had let the cat in earlier, so after her bed time, it was OH MY, the cat wee'd in the bed and I need the sheets changed while I have a shower time LOL

Aiden went to sleep after that with his shoes on, on the couch. He had gotten upset at PJ change time because I took them off, so he held them till he was dressed, then slipped them back on for sleeping in. I have to sneek them off soon before he gets foot rot.

Ok, no plans for tomorrow, will just play it by ear.. the joys of freedom to learn from life.
