Puppies

Bella had puppies 4 weeks ago. There are 4 boys which is a very small litter, but enough for anyone to handle.
Today they finally got to spend the day outside. I built a puppy pen out of 2 compost cages and some springs and wire, and I put their crate/bed in it, with Bellas feeding bed and some paper and food.
For the past 4 weeks Aiden has been acting like a puppy and crawling into the crate with the puppies and nearl quishing them, so now that the pen is set up, he can easily fit in with them and be my most precious pup in the house.
I even managed to get the camera out in time to catch him barking and crawling around in the pen with them. Hopefully next time he crawls into their tiny crate I'll have the camera too.. I always miss the right moment.
I've had kids from around the street coming over in dribs and drabs to check out the puppies now that they are old enough to be handled.. news travelled fast.. it was only an hour after the pen was set up and we had the kids visiting for a cuddle.

It's getting cold now, so I think I'll bring them in for the night. Oh and big news, they started on solid food today too and even a drank some puppy milk from a bowl.
Of course they like nothing better than to snuggle up to Bella and nurse from her.. mmmm... nothing better than straight from the breast.
